Read the AI's Mind!
WordFrenzia is an exhilarating, fast-paced word association party game that challenges players' creativity and vocabulary. Embark on a lexical adventure, compete with friends, and score points by guessing unique word associations while steering clear of the most predictable ones!
Players take turns offering word prompts in any language, to which our AI responds by generating the first 10 words that come to its mind. Participants then attempt to guess these words, aiming to identify the Golden word while avoiding the Bomb word!
How to Play
First, click on in the game's header to add all the players to the game (in the order the players are sitting in). The game then progresses in rounds. Each round concludes once every player has served as the prompt provider and players agree on the number of rounds to be played.
The prompt provider inputs a word or a brief phrase, then clicks "Submit". The game reveals 10 related words and then asks the prompt provider to mark one word, often the most predictable, as the Bomb word, and another word, typically the most subtle, as the Golden word. These two words will appear in a red and a golden bubble, respectively.
Subsequently, the players take turns in a clockwise direction, each making one guess until they've reached X guesses each, where X equals 10 divided by the number of players, rounded up. When a player correctly identifies a word, the prompt provider clicks on the word and on the name of the player who guessed it from the popup list.
Voting & Scoring
The game app will keep the scores for all players. Scores are displayed at the end of each round.
You can also access the scores at any time by clicking on in the game's header.
Players gain points for each word they guess where the points depend on the number of already
guessed words in the current round:
- For the first three correctly guessed word, each player get one point.
- For the next three correctly guessed word, each player get two points.
- For the last three correctly guessed word, each player get three points.
- A player who guesses the Bomb word receives a penalty of minus 3 points!
In addition, a player gets an extra 5 points for guessing the Golden word.
Finally, the prompt provider gains 6 points if another player guesses their Bomb word.
Optionally, and for a bit of drama, the prompt provider may flick the player who guesses the Bomb word, and, conversely, the player who identifies the Golden word may flick the prompt provider! Hard enough that it matters, but not too hard that is starts a fight!
