Privacy policy
Your privacy
Last updated 28 October 2026
The short version
- Most of our games need no account. Two learning games, Math Frenzia and Layla's Dreem, offer an optional one to save your progress.
- This website has no ads and no tracking cookies. We count visits with a cookie-free tool that doesn't identify you.
- If you email us, we use your email only to reply.
Who we are
This website, periculumgames.com, and the games on it are run by Periculum Games Limited, a company based in London, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). For anything about your privacy, email admin [at] periculumgames.com.
What we collect and why
When you email us
We receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you, and we delete it once it's no longer needed. We never sell it or add you to a mailing list without asking.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are kept only for a limited period.
Games
Our games run in your browser and don't need a sign-up. Some games remember things like your settings, player names or scores in your browser's local storage, so they're there next time. That information stays on your device and isn't sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
Games where several phones play together in one room, such as Scramboree, keep the room in sync through Google Firebase. While you play, the room holds the nickname you type, your scores and your in-game answers, linked to a random anonymous ID rather than to you. Use a nickname rather than your full name.
Optional game accounts
Math Frenzia and Layla's Dreem let you create an account to save your progress. When you sign up we store your email address, the name you choose, your scores and progress, and for Layla's Dreem the learning level you pick. In Math Frenzia, the name you choose appears on the leaderboard next to your score. Accounts are run on Google Firebase: your password goes straight to Firebase's sign-in service and we never see it. To have your account deleted, email us from the address you signed up with.
Other services we use
- Google Firebase stores the optional game accounts and the multiplayer rooms described above, under Firebase's privacy terms.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. To see which pages and games are popular, we count visits with Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics. It uses no cookies, doesn't track you across sites and doesn't build a profile of you. It records things like the page visited, the referring site, and your browser and country. See how Cloudflare Web Analytics works.
- Google Fonts. Our fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.
- YouTube. Video thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers. When you press play, the video is played through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set cookies once a video starts playing, under Google's privacy policy.
- Murmurder is hosted on its own website, murmurder.com, and follows its own policy.
Children
Our games are made for families and classrooms. Most of our games collect nothing at all. The optional accounts in Math Frenzia and Layla's Dreem ask for an email address, so a parent or teacher should set them up for younger children. There are no chat features. If you think a child has given us personal information without a parent's say-so, email us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
